I lost my beloved dog.
I lost my sweet baby doggy Ruby this past spring. I adopted her 17 years ago from the SPCA and she was the best dog ever.Seventeen years ago, I welcomed a rescue pup into my life, and from that moment, everything changed. Rescuing a dog is like giving a second chance to a soul in need, and over the years, my loyal companion became so much more than just a pet. Through countless adventures, quiet nights, and the ups and downs of life, my rescue pup was by my side, offering comfort and love that only a dog can give. Our bond grew each day, and she became woven into the fabric of my family.
Losing her has left a profound emptiness. It’s hard to put into words the impact a pet has when they’ve been with you for nearly two decades. My heart aches as I think back to her sweet spirit, her eager tail wags, and the way she somehow always knew when I needed her most. Saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and while I know she lived a full life, it doesn’t make his absence any easier. I’m grateful for every memory, from the puppy years to her gentle old age, each moment holding a special place in my heart.
If you’ve ever lost a beloved pet, you know the grief that follows is overwhelming, and the house feels far too quiet. Yet, the years we spent together were full of joy and love, reminding me of the unique gift that adopting a rescue dog brings. She was more than just a dog; she was family. I know his memory will live on, and while the pain will ease, the love we shared will always remain. I recently created the perfect necklace to have her close by me always . Find the necklace here.
