✨ 5 Things Saving My Type B Mom Life This Week
Because sometimes survival looks like iced coffee in a tumbler and a folding chair in the trunk.
Let me be real with you — this week has been a whirlwind of baseball tournaments, laundry piles that could qualify as Everest, and trying to remember which kid I forgot to pick up (kidding… barely). Here are five things that have genuinely been saving my sanity lately. They’re not miracles, but they’re close enough.
1. The Car Snack Bin That’s Technically for the Kids
It started as a noble attempt to stop drive-thru spending. It has now become my personal rolling convenience store. Trail mix, granola bars, juice boxes, rogue fruit snacks from 2022 — it’s all in there. It’s not glamorous, but it’s keeping me alive between games.
2. My “Uniform” That’s Just an Excuse to Wear the Same Thing All Week
We’re talking biker shorts, oversized tee, and a belt bag I pretend makes me look sporty. Bonus points if it’s clean. Double bonus if it has a pocket big enough for gum and a rogue hockey puck.
3. A Water Bottle That Judges Me Less Than People Do
She’s pink. She’s 40 oz. She goes where I go. Do I drink enough water? No. But at least I look hydrated in the bleachers.
4. A Folding Chair That Deserves a Trophy
We are deep in sports mom season and this folding chair is the MVP. Cup holder? Check. Shade flap? Yes. Does it save my back from perishing at a double-header? Absolutely.
5. A Reminder That “Good Enough” Is Still Good
This week I’ve forgotten forms, fed my kids freezer waffles, and used dry shampoo like a religion. But you know what? We’re still doing the damn thing. And that counts.
Let’s Be Clear:
I’m not thriving, but I’m not sinking either. And if you’re also riding the wave of chaos with a car full of cleats and caffeine — welcome. You’re my people.
